What is Planning Poker?
Planning Poker is a consensus-based agile estimation technique, primarily used in Scrum to estimate the relative effort or size of development tasks.
How Does It Work?
Team members make estimates by playing numbered cards simultaneously, avoiding influence from others' opinions. After revealing, they discuss differences and reach a consensus.
Scoring Types
Fibonacci
Sequence: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89
Ideal for reflecting growing uncertainty in larger estimates. The bigger the story, the higher the uncertainty.
T-Shirt Sizes
Sequence: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
More intuitive approach based on relative sizes. Excellent for quick estimates and non-technical stories.
